Broken Halo

By the mid-21st Century, pressures from domestic terrorism and mass migration resulted in the enactment of the Citizens Act. At birth, all citizens were embedded with a digital ID tag. This gave Governments the ability to monitor the movements of their people. It also lead to a crisis within the Witness Security Program and the creation of the Halo Program. Using technology developed for great deep space travel, high value witnesses could be jumped back in time and hidden in the pre-digital world. The question was no longer WHERE to hide a witness, it was WHEN.

The Beggar King

This script is based on an altogether original true story of Joel, a renowned storyteller who loses his voice to throat cancer and believes he has lost everything.  An encounter with his old teacher shows him that, in fact, he’s been given a great gift. Their meetings lead him on a journey into the timeless wisdom of the tales he was once able to tell — a world of beggars and kings, monks and demons, tigers and lost horses — and ultimately toward the secret of happiness. The tale seamlessly weaves between two worlds, the real and the fantastical, and Joel discovers his story is as powerful as that of any legendary hero’s tale. Sometimes it’s a rocky road to happily ever after.
